I appreciate your input, but IV members have been talking about numbers and numbers and numbers for last 2 years in a row.
What will the numbers reveal? I had been a regular blogger at IV, but I stopped coming up here because.
1. All talk and no Walk
2. New members come aboard, are rude and offer no pragmatic approach.
3. All these bloggers give ideas and critique each other.
4. What happened to the March1 09st rally in DC?
Why has IV not taken a pragmatic approach, don't take me wrong I respect what you have done and other approaches in the past. But IV is using same approach for a new problem, the end result-----Failure

I understand all this, but I as a visiting members and the people coming on here, want to see a true and real reason to be a part of IV and not just a website where immigrants come and breathe out their frusturations July Fiasco turned to be advantageous to a few members, but was a mistake for members like me and other members who could not file at that time.
Please prove me wrong and IV to be something more than a website, please initiate something big and real, and not just comments. I an aware of the achievements in the past, but it was past 3 years ago. For last three years immigrant's feelings have been played around too many times. Outlook is very very grim without a bill from what I understand. EB3 India is going to be in a hole and EB3 PDs that are 2006 and later have a really long wait time ahead that they are not imagining. We are all hopeful by nature and look forward to visa bulletins with a positive attitude but such PD folks may be disappointed month after month for several years. For EB2 India it is important to know number of ported cases. EB3ROW folks also need to worry now. Their journey may not be that smooth due to spillover rules and high demand. We need to get data via FOIA to make a better guesstimate. Without such data we will hear various theories, predictions and interpretations from various websites and blogs that may not be always true.
You definitely have better resources to know things but I hate to disagree on what you said.

Which service center processed your I-140 ? For Eb2 cases, USCIS ( especially NSC) doesn't accept a combination of degree and experience. They require a single 4 year degree.
You should not completely give up on this. Get a good lawyer, a good education evaluator and try to save the case.

Thats just too much bull for one day. Just when I thought that it was enough for 2008, you drop this bomb called "God's protection over this land" and made me read those illogical ideas. So this is what I have to say -
Can you prove the existance of God? Who is God? Where does he/she live?
You see, down the ages mankind have been told to think in a manner such that - anything that we cannot logically explain, we just come up with the rationale that "God did it". So for the things we can explain, we looks towards that knowledge, but for the things we cannot explain, we still try to explain to ourselves & others by saying - "God did this". And this is how the author is processing information, and this is everyone reading it will understand.
And this behavior is not a fault of anybody alive. We have inhereted these genes through thousands and millions of years. And those genes in us are designed to make us "blame or credit God" (whichever way you look at it) for everything we cannot explain. Now there will be some who will tell me that I am WRONG for saying "thousdand and millions of years" by arguing that Adam and Eve came just 2000 years back and earth was created in 6 days, and human beings were created some 2000 years old.
Human mind is extremely inferior. and for own inner sense of inferioirty, we want to tell everybody and our own ego that we know the reason for everything. And for the things we cannot explain, we explain such events to ourselves by using the argument "God is the reason behind those events". We cannot just accept "I don't know how/why it happened". Humans have to explain everything and a lot many times in a day, we explain events by telling ourselves - God did it.
One more thing, often times, unknowingly, we give more weightage to the writings from people who passed away as compared to the writings by folks who are still around. I think we should question everything told to us, everything feed to our brain - and we have that moral responsibility towards ourselves to question specially the things which are thrown at us with the message - "just accept it without qustioning", because religion and different version of the description of God cannot be questioned. It must be accepted the way it is.
I think that the greatness of America and its history is not because of the "Religion" or "God", but inspite of it. The fact that "Religion" or "God" is kept out of the Government is the only reason for the progress you see around. For millions of years religion was the center peice of every government, and so our ansestors lived in backwardness. Almost 99% of all inventions have been made in US, where State is "independent" of the "religion", although there are lot of nuts out there who wants to change this. As per the "religious folks" God will never protect a nation that intereferes with the work of religion, right? So why would "God" protect this land?
Anyways, I want to write for another 200 pages, but, I got to do this job and earn for my family, otherwise "God" will be angry with me.

Take a look at option from Colorado State Univ Distance Education website. They have a MS(course option), where you need 10 courses to obtain a MS. Each course approx. costs around $1600. So, you are looking at a total of ~17k.
They will also waive GRE requirements if you give evidence of your experience in the industry which looks like is not a problem.
The degree certificate they give you is no different from the certificate one would obtain if one was to attend school full-time and complete the same MS course plan.
Some courses could be completed in summer as well. So, if you can take 4+2+4 over one year during spring-summer-fall semester you could be done in 1 year. I am assuming you don't care about grades, and hence taking 4 courses should be manageable to just get a pass grade.

This EAD thing is really annoying, my wife got her AP and EAD last 11/21, with immediate update in USCIS.gov. I'm still waiting for mine, and I'm the principal. Anyway. I'll have an infopass appointment on 12/18. My H1-B permit expires on 02/07/08.
We applied to NSC, all documents received on August 02/2007.

I am suprprised if IV is working towards abiltiy to file 485 and hard country limit...Just want to know how IV is working towards these 2 items...
If any of these two wont show out in coming bill,..then I would say goodbye to IV..because all other items in bill were there without IV;s interaction....
Can somebody calrify if these options will anyway include in this bill..by means of ammendements...
This is like someone in Sri Lanka saying that "if I don't get a blanket within 12 hours of the Tsunami, I will quit the Red Cross."
How about thinking, "if these items don't show up in the coming bill, I will become a more active member and work towards getting these items to show up at the next opportunity"?

Firstly I am not from India where most of your guys come from. Instead from Taiwan 2 and half year ago. As travelled much between Asia countrys, no much time staying is US office although I based here. Yes, my English is poor and broken but this is not a fake story, make no sense for me. Just kill the time???
When cops knock out your room, handcuff your hands on the back, force you stay down at the corner , if you could keep calm and state very clearly. I can only show my respect but unfortunately I did not make it. This is my first time. :( Should be the last time either.
Now the negative point is mostly from my statement, no matter whether you believe, the attorney told me drag with anger is battery. we think that's okay does not mean it is okay on the law. So I wish you guys be careful on this kind of play around to avoid any trouble. I knew you all have better english than me. so you could explain clearly :) But Same level, do it on your spouse is even worse on a stranger.
I create this thread just wish listen your opinion and try public view how much chance I can win the jury trail. Some of your advice is really helpful and I will take them.
My wife is writing the mail to DA and wish it helpful to my case. I will have several rehearsal with my attorney in coming weeks. Anyway, we will fight for the justice and not accept that ridiculous battery charge.

This is a situation because of cross-cultural differences, ignorence of law of land, weaker knowledge of English, etc. It might not have been aggrivated, had you been in your native country.
Once in Japan, I crossed rails to go to next platform and caught by police for doing so. I explained them my childhood, when every day I used to do so in small town and it was OK there. Police told me that they understand me, and asked me not to repeat again there.
My son asked for Samurai. On airport, the moment police saw it, they snatched it from me. They kept it under their possession and handed over to airlines to give me back at destination.
I feel that police and people are considerate to situation.
So, based on my experience of sevaral such things happening due to ignorance and past habits:
.... Use translater and explain in native language (You can say that you know technical language to work in office, but don't know day-to-day language. You don't know difference between drag, pull, take along, etc).
.... If you have any cultural example, explaining up to what level it is acceptable in your society.
You must understand that under law of land, the way happening has been explained to police is serious offence. So work around explanation based on language gap, cultural gap, traditions gaps, etc. to minimize its impact. Show your preparedness to accept bridging of gaps to meet the law of land.
