You will also see "Approval notice sent". It means the card is on the way to your mailbox.
I feel for all of you whose EAD is not yet receive. When my EAD was pending for more than 90 days, I wrote an email to the Ombudsman. I don't know if it helped or not. I just got RFE notice 4 days after sending the email. After replying to the RFE (photos), I got my EAD with no problems.
When does the "Approval notice sent" status appear, it is about 7 days since I got the production ordered.

Yes, I do agree with you but he asked a specific question related to travelling, and this case expungementg will help and he need not to declare at the POE about his case but as you said he will have the side effects of this case in various other stages till he is admitted as PR.

Dude, I am telling you again. Expungement will not help him w.r.t immigration matters (which includes entering USA).
Even when he gets his criminal record expunged, for all immigration matters, he needs to provide information about his conviction and an explanation.

My wife got her h1 approval in Oct 2007. She hasnt been on any project, nor has she received any stubs. i want her to convert to h4 again as she is pregnant. If she goes to India to get her H4 stamped what docs does she need? will there be any problems?

When I check case status online for my 765 Application, it is showing

I did ask my friends but only thing I didn't poll it on IV.
Bottomline is with so many people waiting for their GCs. residency, H1-B other status in IV...the last thing in their radar is a poll on buying a house.....
My friend circle was enough for me to decide on such things than the hapless and ever-patient members of IV. Give them a break..........

Good find !! After reading this article, I guess, USCIS would well support our demand for filing I-485 when PDs not current as it will give them more $$$ from EAD and AP extensions.

Both Franklin and GooblyWoobly have a valid point, but let's not offend anyone on the forum. I see a trend on this forum where some people are trying to differentiate people who attended the rally and who did not. Should we divide the forum to 2 groups now? One being "attended" and the other "no show". It is totally childish... I contributed some money to IV as well since I believe in its effort, and I did not include that in my signature to say "contributed $$$". Do not take your frustration out on anyone 'cause you know other people have the same right... I am not a programmer but it is a endless loop...

Not really. Senators voted against this because they opposed the underlying amendment. The Democratic opposition stems from the facts that the amendment proposed to re-capture from all categories and then re-distribute accordingly to a Republican preference. For instance EB-3, numbers re-captured didn't all go to EB-3. The amendment gave 61,000 to Schedule A and then re-distributed the rest equally.
A much fairer, simpler and permanent solution is to simply rollover the unused numbers to next years numbers.

You may have trouble entering the country. There was an article on this very subject on murthy.com . You may search for the article with the key word.
From what I remember from that article, misdemeanors are not considered as inadmissibility, but the catch is, if the crime is a "felony" but ruled "misdemeanor" that could be treated as ground for inadmissibility. The shop lifting was given as an example of such case. I don't mean to scare you , but re-entry may not be your only issue, I think I485 approval may also be an issue.
I am sure I must have missed some thing in paraphrasing and recollecting the article, but you could search for the original article.

So as per USCIS a total of 600,000 applications were pending until June. We can add another 600,000 for july-aug... total now 1.2 Million

This strategy worked for lot of folks. But there are some States like CO where no DMV office understands our problem - NJ is not like that at all.

My friend was in a similar situation last yr, He took his all his documents to Trenton DMV and they have given him 90 days extension.
Try that, Good Luck
Other Option is convert your H1 Extension to premium and get the approval before your H1 expiration date
