jcrajput.. I have had my renewal stamping done last month in India and am purely stating from personal experience. I was asked for to show 6 months of paystub by the officer. Luckily I had them on me so I could show it.
You can take the minimum but travelling with the minimum puts your family at a risk when you go for the interview. No lawyer or any other member at IV can help you there.It Doesnt hurt to be proactive and prepared in the right way. In this time of recession, more documentation has been asked then ever. For my earlier stamping no documents were required, but this time W2's and paystubs were asked.
You may even want to ask Mr 1000 watt when he last got his stamping done and go by whatever he recommends.

this is my first post, so please bear with me ..How can a novice know that this forum is for EB category ? small suggestion to iv team, a small iv admin fix...
can typing immigrationvoice.org take us all to "ebimmigrationvoice.org" or eb-legal-immigrationvoice.org" ? (eg. ibnlive.com takes you to ibnlive.in.com) In that way eventually everybody will know its a eb immigration voice and no other legal immigrants forums..

If your GC is getting approved today, then your priority date should be current, so I assume you will be (or would have) applied for dependent 485 for your wife (and son?) so they are going to be on AOS...

I have submitted ombudsman case sheet by mail.
My lawyer also sent request through AILA liason. She asked me to wait 6 weeks before enquiring again.
NSC responded to my lawyer's request. They do have the correct older PD in their system and will be adjudicating my case according to that.
Ombudsman response was an error.

I came here with my dad and mom. My dad's I-485 was denied because his I-140 was revoked. He appealed but it was dismissed. With the principle application denied, everything for me and my mom was also denied. Because I was just a child I really had no idea what was going on. However flipping through all the family documentations I don't see any deportation orders, I only see something that says we no longer has a valid non immigrant status and the district office has jurisdiction over issues of departure.
So my question is, and I realize this might be a stupid question, but what is my status in the U.S.? Am I an illegal immigrant?
Under what VISA did your parents enter US in the first place? When I-485 was denied, was the VISA based on which they had entered still valid? If yes, how long was it valid afterwards? What was your own VISA when you entered (even if you were a child, you would have your own passport and a dependent VISA)?
Am I deport-able? Am I visa overstayed? Since I did came here legally.
and with that status, is there anything I can do? Now that I am over 18 can I apply for visa/green card by myself? Through jobs or student visa? And what is the 3/10 reentry bar and how will it affect me?

It is possible that the employer may sue you. But since you would be finding a new job, you can always ask your new employer to give you a sign-on bonus which will be equal to or greater than the expenses demanded by your present employer.

Approved Labor/Pending labor for more than 365 days or 140 approval is required for extension beyond 6 years. I don't think it can be done based on pending 485 applications (for dependent) only.

RFE and NOID come with a color sheet of paper with your details and some USCIS internal codes for your case. You can respond by yourself and put the sheet on top - this is for the mailroom to handle your case

Before you request for your passport and withdraw your H1-B, make sure your AP documents were approved before you left India.
I have heard from several sources that your AP should be approved before you leave the country. If the approval date is a few days before you left U.S, it can be assumed that you physically recieved it before leaving.

I was informed that without I-94 card she cannot be added to my insrurance.
Can anyone suggest me some good insurance I can take online/india for this kind of situation...???

I have never seen anyone asking for an I-94 card to get your wife added to your insurance.If you are an employee going through employers insurance then they have to add you and your family to the insurance coverage without any discrimination . That is as far as I know . Maybe I could be wrong but I am pretty sure about it. You can take her insurance without she being here . I recently changed my coverage this month for myself and my family and its start date was the same day I submitted the forms and not the 1st of next month or something like that.

I get the following message:
Your password has been locked because of too many unsuccessful login attempts.Contact the USCIS Headquarters Referral Management Team for support.
Does anyone have the telephone number or email id of USCIS Headquarters Referral Management Team ? How do i reset the password by calling them. I forgot the answers to prompt questions too.

We have a wealth of information from A to Z on US Immigration, why dont we ourselves write articles and editorials and get them published in the News Papers, Journals, etc?
Why are we waiting for some one to come to us and take information to write articles on us. Does Newspapers check the background of authors to verify if they are citizens/non-citizens/green card holders/ H1B's. What all matters to them is quality and authenticity of the articles.
Do you folks think this a good option to pursue?

Does anyone know what time it may take for FP notices to arrive for guys whose cases were Xfered to CSC?
BTW, does that make any difference if the 485 case has been transferred from another center to TSC? majority of guys who've got the FP notice are straight filters at TSC.
