Today, I just saw in one of the threads in that a guy received his GC last week. He chnaged jobs twice on AC21. So dont worry, you can change jobs n number of times.

I sooo hear you ...especially the "shitty town in northern mass Lawrence"...and Infopass in that town. How did you bear this obnoxious combination man :p? If they can't give any more info why is the use of our taxes going to pay his (Infopass "IO") salary.
I guess there were no dates in the Boston office I guess... they are usually a bit more helpful.

My EAD expires on - 10/10/2008. I had e-filed on 10/01/2008 for renewal.
I-140 approved. I 485 peding since Aug 2007.
Should I continue working after 10/10 as my current EAD will expire. Can I use my e-field receipt notice to continue my employment ?
Pl advise.

I got my approval notice today, and as expected, it is approved as consular process with the Chennai consulate as the class consulate.
I hope I won't have any problems using EAD. Taking the dive now.

For EB3 India 7% of 85,030 = 5903. And still Dates are stuck in 2001. I don't know what it take to move it to beyond 2002-2003 ?
I'm afraid if there are 100K EB3 in 2001-2004. Why doesn't USCIS come up with such statistics..
Providing such statistics woul dmean accountability right. There si no value add for them other than getting a bunch of calls. I really wonder what the nuber is for the 2001-2003 period. 100K looks kind of large.

Once you use EAD, you cannot go back to H1B.
Also I did not understand what you meant by :

I work as a dentist in a company which was held in partnership by 2 partners.I have a approved H1b and my I 140 is filed in May 2006.Now as of Oct 01 the original company is finished as the partners have seperated.I am confused about my case, if I have to file a new H1b and 140 or an ammendment or just nothing.The tax id number for the company which will now give my paycheck has changed.As for me my work location has not changed and I still work in the same position.Can I take paychecks from the new company which now belongs to one of the partners or do I need to inform immigration to refile H1 or I140 or both.Any advice is appriciated

I need some help to act in right direction.
In Oct -2008 my wife got H1B. She was on H4 before that. The employer is still searching client for her to start work. She has got no pay, as practically she never started work. She still have valid-H4 VISa till sept-2009.
1) What is her current status H1B or H4?
2) how long can she wait to search job, assuming if she does not get job in next 2-3 months, how long will be H1B status Valid.
3) If she travels to india, will she has to get H1B stamped or she can re-enter on H4.
4) What are the options to get her back on H4. I have to file my extension in sept-2009.
Feedbacks, as highly appreciated.

thx for replying . but I do not want both Visa on Oct1.
My L1 ends sometime in mid September.
My H1 would be effective only from Oct 1.
So, during this time I will be out of status right ?
So if I do my L1 Extension, I might solve the problem.
But Will doing that affect the approved H1 ?

Finger printing done on 12/08.
Soft LUD on I-485 for self and spouse on 12/10,12/11,12/15,12/18,12/28.
LUD on approved I-140(approved 10/06) on 12/02. Received the 'Your application has been approved....' email from CRIS too on 12/02!!
This is getting me really tensed :-(

Person "A" on H1B with 4 yrs of experience, Green Card filed, EAD received (both husband and wife), I-140 pending, Wife Dependant (has her own H1B), Wife opens a training institute.
1. Can "A" work for his wife and also get paid in check?

I am not sure if you have done this already but if you have photoshop or any other photo editing software, just take your picture and do resize to 320 X 240. In photoshop, when I do image resize it gives me the new size option in inches and pixels. I pick pixels and specify 320X240 and bamm.. your image is ready. Let me know if that doesn't help.
I have a hard time to adjust my photo to designated spec. I shrunked to 62kb but they did not take it and if I make it lesser, it won't be 320 x 240 pixels but less. I use regular digital camera. anybody help me how to do?

I had interview on Mar 30th on I-485 Interview,
Earlier we got an denial on I-485 bcz of withdrawn my approved I-140 from Previous Employer.
Before itself I moved new employer uncer AC 21 portability.
We applied MTR on I-485 and thet is approved.
After that we recieved interview letter. The interview was Good, end of the interview, the officer told us, that will review again, if any docs needed will let you know with in 2 weeks.
Still didnt recive any response. Can you guys please do advice on my case, can i call to customer care on my case or better to go take an info pass.

Why people ask dumb questions. For me most of these questions are dumb and answers are obvious.

unseenguy, A lot of companies all across the country are resorting to pay cuts and there is no guarantee that the job will remain either. Mine announced 5% cuts and cut other benefits that had made working in this company attractive.
I am sorry to hear about the job loss already in your household. Here is my suggestion....Do keep a lookout for better opportunities but try to get your wife a job before you change yours. Invoking AC21 is a option but use it only if you find a better opportunity or at least better stability. I know it is a cliche but hang in there and know that there are a lot of families all across this country who are in similar or worse situations. All the best and please fill in your details like PD and GC processing stage.
