I am about to renew my AP. What will be the start date on the new AP. Is it the date after the current AP expires(like with EAD) or the date the renewal application is approved. Appreciate any responses.

yeah.. So another reason to keep looking at the visa bulletins now. Once i get a GC I buy a house and get a gun. The american dream. ;-)

My wife's H4 expires on Oct 1, 2007......We plan to file our I-485 by July 16, 2007.......I am sure it will take atleast 90 days to get her EAD.....whats her status between Oct1,2007 till the time EAD gets approved?......Will she be in valid status during that period?

This confirms unless we get major reform for addressing backlog, all this idea of making 485 current is eyewash and nothing but trap for exorting money out of legal immigrants every year to pay for USCIS funding.

I prayed god to get my GC before 2008.If God really exists I'll get my GC in 2008.If not it's a proof that God doesn't exists.

How Simple is the Test ..for the existence of God...Why GC you can do some easy tests too like
Throw a glass Jar from 10th Floor of builing to the hard ground and if Glass JAR does not break then God exists other wise not
You can apply for job and don't appear for interview and if you still get a job then god exists otherwise not

Hi, I applied for AOS with my wife for EB3 on July 25, received all my receipts today with 08/23/07 receipt date. The checks have not been cashed yet. I'm wondering if someone else is under the same circumstances. It seemed a little odd as the most I see people talking about is having the checks cashed but no receipts. Any help will be appreciated.

In the state of Mass delivery is covered by the State provided you show you don't have insurance. Millions of single moms are delivering and many are teenagers and many are w/o any insurance. Delivery is considered an emergency and you will be covered. Keep your spirits up and bear the storm.....it always gets darkest before you see light again.

If one is not able to pay it it goes to the collection agency or state or charitable trust. All these features are free for Illegals. So better have insurance.
As per obama's new rule, the company will pay 2/3 of the insurance and you will have to pay 1/3 of the insurance. The company will get the amount back as tax credit. In california the laid off person has to pay $100 for insurance and the rest will be paid by the company.
Regarding EAD you are in Status and you can apply for disability insurance from the state. your husband can work in EAD.
Don't stress yourself. Layoff is common these days.

Some people might think business / technology alone will ensure properity for the people involved - but the important thing to remember is that - business / technology is also a by product of these freedoms. When your mind is unrestricted by limitations and regulations - you get more innovative ideas - and you can also spread them easily.
Donot let your cultural / religious commitments hold you back - most of them are unfounded and lack evidence anyways. This is one of the reasons West is more progressive than East - because they lean more toward reason instead of tradition etc., - and they say it out loud also which we don't do. This enables them to get the bullS*it out of the way first and concentrate on constructive things - innovate, do business blah blah blah!!

I am EB2-I with PD of Aug 02, still waiting for approval of 485. July07 concurrent filer. 140 was approved in Sept08.
And this is the interesting part. The online status still shows 140 as pending. No email either, just a soft LUD on the online status. USCIS is being truly erratic. A maverick?
You should fill out a form with the Ombudsman. Just google for it. They should help you with your case.
Is your NC cleared? Have you taken an infopass to confirm your biometrics and NC is all clear? There have been cases where fingerprinting was done but it wasn't reflected in the case status.

As soon as you question about the twisted belief like "God's protection over this land", some "protecter of God" will throw at you, "people who beleiev in God, will find him". The question is not whether the God exists or not, the question is,
"God's protection over this land"? When we are all children of God, then why would God only protect "only this land". Why not protect other lands where other children of God lives. I think that "God's protection over this land" is a thought from a very inferior mind.
And I find no difference between between "child of God" and "son of God". We are all Sons and Daughters of God, although different religions wants us to believe that their masiah is the "ONLY SON" or "ONLY MESSENGER" of God. And that just too much baloney.

At PortOfEntry, CBP officers are QUESTIONING IF you are working for the sponsoring employer and many folks just switched jobs with AC-21 with no valid H1B anymore.
Questions:
1. What are the Consequences at Port of Entry on travelling with AP and NOT working for the ORIGINAL GC sponsor?
2. Can anyone share thier experience what was the outcome at Port of Entry when the answer is "NO - I am not working with sponsoring employer anymore" Were they held at Portof Entry indefinitely ?
3. What Steps can anyone take when at CBP office/Immigration Official is NOT allowing you to re-enter US on Valid AP (I-485 pending) and you are NOT working for sponsoring employer and no valid H1B?

There are provisions for situations in which a person has the AP and requests an extension prior to departure, then does not rely on the AP extension to reenter the U.S., but uses it for a future trip abroad. This situation is different from leaving without having AP at all.
