Noway it is normal..
When was the last "normal" economic cycle when so many big banks failed...
Lehman Brothers were 150 years old bank meaning they say great depression and the world wars and survived all of that.. This time it disappeared one morning.
Citi, BofA,Wells etc are all in trouble..
Would you believe Citi stock at 3 Bucks?
And it all started with Housing.
House prices never go down! Oh yeah.
"No way. House prices will never go down in California. Certainly not in bay area. Government will do all the magic to stop the crash... Not affordable, doesn't matter. Google stocks will make a lot of rich guys. BTW renting is throwing money away.":D:D:D:rolleyes:
I love the guys making those arguments.
Now it is India's turn.

first of thanks a lot for taking time and explaining this in detail.
so if i understand it correctly, I have applied in jul2007 and entered on h1 on dec2007. if i get my gc in 2012. I can not be out of status for more than 6 months between dec 2007 to whenever 2012. So if i start using EAD i need to make sure i have a job almost all the time.
RFE which was posted is clearly looking for past employment history. If W2 shows that in year 2009 i made 40k and my labor cert was for 80K it will be a problem.
assuming u r getting RFE in future. this realy is crazy.

I was wondering why I am I getting a LUD in Feb 08? (since EB2 India is 'U').
Now I know why :) it seems USCIS is getting ready for the deluge in April 08' :D
Lord almighty people are getting really carried away. :) This cutoff setting guy hadn't even made up his mind as of Feb 13. Also read my entire post, he won't set the date till he sees the estimate from USCIS.
Btw, my PD is Jan 03 and my LUD is still back in November 07 (when my attorney changed).

First, with out name check cleared by FBI, no 485 will be approved. Assiging visa number to a 485 appliction initally, nothing to do with name check. If the applicant is threat to the security of the country, his/her 485 will be denied and they will take back the already assigned number. Both are two different issues.
Another myth: USCIS processed 60,000 485 in June. It is wrong. They processed 60,000 485 over the period of 6 months to 5 years. And they just approved in June, based on earlier processing.

I am on page with you. I did it 3 weeks back. Now I am starting the whole labor at the new company , making almost 140K (60% more) with a fortune 20 company . Good position and happier......
I did the same and didn't hung up myself on GC .... life is more than GC let us live our life.
